IDG Direct to create 125 jobs in Dublin

IDG Connect has announced that the company is establishing a new base for operational support in Dublin, creating about 125 jobs.

Located on Great Strand Street, Dublin 1, IDG Direct will play a pivotal role in helping IDG Connect understand global buying behaviour.

The group, headed by general manager John Moran, has recently recruited 60 positions and the organisation is looking to grow to around 125 positions by the end of 2013.

The roles will be across data analysis, campaign management and telephone research.

“A key part of the Government’s plan for jobs and growth is ensuring that we deepen and develop the impact of multinational companies here,” said Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD.

“Since January we have seen a very strong flow of investments from world-leading companies, and we are determined not only to ensure that this continues but also that these companies can create stronger links here and provide greater benefit to the economy.’

“Today’s announcement that this dynamic company is creating 125 jobs here is great news for Dublin city centre and for Ireland. With the right decisions I am convinced that Ireland can provide greater stability for investors and create the jobs and growth we need.”

John P O’Malley, chief executive officer, IDG Connect commented: “Ireland offers the perfect mix of core skills, high levels of education, an established infrastructure and multilingual labour pool to ensure this is a success.

“We are a fast growing business, focused on development, and our database lies at the heart of all initiatives. Good data intelligence and high quality research are fundamental to IDG Connect’s continued global expansion and I look forward to working closely with IDA Ireland to achieve our business goals.”
