Sogeti to create 65 jobs in Ireland

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD has announced that Sogeti is to create 65 new jobs through the expansion of its Dublin and Galway offices over the next three years.

Sogeti is an IT consultancy and services provider that has had a presence in Ireland since 1979 and is a subsidiary of global consulting, IT and outsourcing company Capgemini.

The positions created will be a mix of high skilled and graduate roles in the IT sector, with recruitment already in progress.

The expansion will see the company’s Irish workforce increase to over 150 people.

“The Action Plan for Jobs targets IT and outsourcing as key sectors where Ireland has the potential for major employment growth,” said Minister Bruton.

“Today’s announcement that Sogeti is further investing in growing its workforce in Dublin with the creation of 65 jobs, is an indication of what is possible. I am determined to implement the Action Plan for Jobs and ensure that this can be replicated across the country in the coming years.”

Jean-Francois Courtines, chief sales officer and head of alliances of the Sogeti Group said: “Sogeti Ireland is an integral part in Capgemini’s global operations and its expansion is in no small part due to the track record of the Sogeti team in Ireland and the availability of a skilled workforce, matching the type of talented, motivated candidates that we seek.”
