Dragon Barry O’Sullivan to share insights at start-up event in Galway

Entrepreneur and one of the Dragons on RTÉ’s Dragons’ Den Barry O’Sullivan is to share his secrets to success with start-ups and small businesses as part of the Vodafone Smart StartUp Network series.

Having previously led some large divisions for Cisco, this month O’Sullivan launched tech start-up Altocloud as co-founder and CEO.

With teams in place in Galway and California, it is creating a cloud-based communications platform that uses data analytics and machine learning to produce more effective customer-to-company interactions.

“Our vision is to revolutionise customer communications by delivering personalised experiences, smarter interactions, faster resolution and satisfied customers to your business – without brands having to invest more money in additional technology, infrastructure or people,” O’Sullivan explained.

At the Smart Startup event, he will facilitate an interactive Q&A session, allowing attendees to seek his views and experience on areas that are most relevant to their businesses.

Questions can be submitted in advance of the event which will be shared with him via Twitter, @VodafoneIEBiz.

The Smart StartUp Network initiative is designed to provide free guidance and expert advice to both established small businesses and start-up companies on how they can better leverage technology for business benefit through a series of mentoring workshops and talks from some of Ireland’s most successful entrepreneurs.

The one featuring O’Sullivan is taking place in The G Hotel from 7.30am to 9.30am on 27 March.
