Aramark Ireland has won a four-year contract worth over €400,000 a year to provide facilities management services to Enterprise Ireland.
Its workplace solutions division will provide reception, security, cleaning and general maintenance services across the Enterprise Ireland site in East Point Business Park on Dublin’s northside.
This is the first time that Enterprise Ireland has engaged with a facilities management provider to combine such outsourced services.
The new deal will be in addition to Aramark’s existing contracts with other government agencies including Fáilte Ireland, An Bord Pleanála, Office of Public Works, European Commission and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.
An American multinational, Aramark employs over 5,000 people in Ireland and the EMEA region.
Former Enterprise Ireland CEO Dan Flinter has been appointed chairman of technology start-up SkillPages with immediate effect.
A search engine to find skilled people – everything from plumbers to hairdressers – Skillpages was set up by Iain Mac Donald, who previously founded Perlico, which he went on to sell to Vodafone for €80m in 2007.
Flinter said he is honoured by the appointment. “With more than 20 million members in over 170 countries, SkillPages has achieved enormous success since it was launched in 2011,” he said. “Although there is a solid foundation in place, SkillPages is just getting started with its mission. I look forward to working with the team to ensure SkillPages continued momentum and success.”
Flinter currently serves as chairman of The Irish Times Ltd, Project Management Holdings and Duolog Holdings. He is a board member of Venture Capital Investment Managers as well as Dairygold Co-op. He also chairs the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
According to Skillpages, Flinter’s predecessor and the founder’s father, Malcolm Mac Donald, decided to step down from the role of chairman for personal reasons.
