Jobs Expo 2012 takes place this weekend at RDS

Hundreds of jobs will be on offer this weekend at Job Expo 2012, an employment and recruitment fair, which will take place in Dublin’s RDS on Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 May.

According to the organisers, this event, which is free, will provide all the information needed to climb the employment ladder or make an informed decision on a new career choice both in Ireland and abroad. Career opportunities and advice will be available from companies located both in Ireland and abroad such as:

  • JV Driver, the Canadian construction firm who have 200 openings
  • Irish HomeCare Services who have 200 job openings
  • Canadian Recruitment firm, Diamond Global have 120 job openings
  • Dell Ireland will be recruiting for staff at all levels
  • FMI, one of Ireland’s largest residential sales and contract merchandising companies, are looking to fill 86 roles
  • Cork company GxP Systems which currently has 21 job openings, for engineering positions in Ireland, the US, and Mexico
  • Aldi Ireland will be recruiting for  a large number of store managers
  • 40 Jobs with Australian company Tom Browne Drilling
  • 30 Jobs with Software company IFDS Percana

The exhibition will be divided into different areas:

  • Information Area
  • Irish Job Opportunities
  • Working Abroad
  • Postgrad Area – UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and The School of Business at Trinity College Dublin will both be exhibiting
  • Starting your own Business
  • Career Clinic

Two specialised villages will also be on display:

  • Engineering Village
  • Professional Village
