Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day 2015 Launches

Broadcaster Dàithì Ó Sé helped to launch the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day 2015.

He was on hand to do the task with the help of some little ‘Dell’ daffodil buds, Olivia McGowan, Lola Pastrana and Robyn Coleman in Fitzgerald Park in Cork.

The Irish Cancer Society, with lead partner Dell, is calling for more support than ever for Daffodil Day as demand for support and services increases with growth in cancer incidence.

Daffodil Day will take place on Friday, 27 March 27, 2015.

It is all about the fight against cancer and selling daffodils on the streets in order to not just raise money, but also to raise awareness. While it can seem odd to raise awareness about cancer, in a world where the threat of it looms in most people’s minds, like most things, it only seems important when it affects you or someone you love.

When people see real people with cancer, and it could be a neighbor or someone they recognize passing on the street while going about their day. There can be a connection in the reality of the widespreadness of this disease.
