The Top 250 Exporting Companies in Ireland
Published by the Irish Exporters Association, The Top 250 Exporting Companies in Ireland report shows that the Irish export industry is overwhelmingly driven by foreign owned corporations.
The listing is made up of mainly multinational corporations who have invested in Ireland to service the EU27 and other international markets and have provided over 70pc of our export sales.
The Top 250 export companies are ranked according to their most recent available turnover figures and have been compiled by Business Pro for the Irish Exporters Association and give an insight into the make up and direction of our export industry.
There is a strong pareto trend to be seen in the Top 250 report, with the top 20 companies accounting for 44pc of total exports. Of significance is the strong representation of Irish owned agri-food companies in the top 20 accounting for 16pc of these leading export companies. In the top 20, seven companies are from the ICT sector reflecting the growing computer services exports; five are from the Pharmaceutical / medical devices sector and five from the agri-food sector.
