Trafficattic Hosted 130 Local Businesses in 2015

An online business focused on allowing people to shop local online called Trafficattic.com set up in Co Mayo in 2014 now hosts 130 businesses and is selling throughout Ireland and worldwide.

Husband and wife team Brendan and Sophia McHugh founded the business, which provides users with access to over 15,000 products on offer from Irish shops and businesses ranging from gifts to cosmetics to garden and commercial pool furniture.

“Trafficattic.com supports Irish businesses by providing them with an easy to use, low-cost platform to sell their products online. It takes the fear and stresses away for small businesses,” said Brendan McHugh.

“We help businesses to bring their products and services to a wider audience in a very safe and easy way.”

Sophia added: “Trafficattic.com was created to enable small businesses to grow - locally, nationally or internationally - and also to provide them with an easy to use platform where they can manage their online store themselves without any IT expertise.”

Trafficattic.com has recently expanded to provide a secure way for service businesses to sell their gift vouchers online, working with the likes of beauty salons, hairdressers, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and gyms.

Update: The site has shut down and the domain was up for sale for $377 USD at Network Solutions. It is now a splash page for overseas advertising.

It seems the business didn't do as well as planned and the best it did was in September 2014 when the site did a mere 18 unique visitors for the month. We hate to see this as young business owners done to attain the level of success they envision.

We do hope the McHugh's have found success elsewhere.
