Analysis conducted by Ernst & Young revealed that winners and finalists from several of the G20 countries participating in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) award program in total bucked national trends, boosting headcount on average by 18pc since 2009. During the same period, the combined jobless rates in many of the G20 countries increased by at least 10pc.
