Low-fares airline Ryanair has announced it is to add four new Boeing 737-800 aircraft and six new routes to its Brussels (Charleroi) base.
This will bring to 12 the number of aircraft based at Charleroi, the carrier said.
The six new routes served from Brussels (Charleroi) are Ibiza, Kaunas, Krakow, Nador, Seville and Zadar. These will come on stream in March 2010.
All of this additional traffic will bring annual traffic at Brussels (Charleroi) to over four million passengers per year, Ryanair said, and claimed this would sustain 4,000 local jobs.
