Anglo Irish Bank’s acting chief risk officer Peter Butler is to leave the state-owned lender after 22 years.
The Irish Times reports that Butler was appointed as acting chief risk officer in February following the resignation of Willie McAteer.
The CEO of Anglo Mike Aynsley told staff at the bank of Butler’s intended departure in an email yesterday and said he regretted his leaving the company.
The paper reports that Aynsley had planned on appointing Butler to a role on Anglo’s new management team which the bank’s CEO is currently pulling together.
