Forty staff at the Irish private-jet airline Jetbird have been placed on protective notice.
According to reports, the company is facing difficulties in raising some €10m in funding.
The firm was scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2009, with Köln-Bonn, Germany chose as its first base of operations.
Founded by Dómhnal Slattery in 2006, Jetbird is owned by Irish investment group Claret Capital and a number of private investors.
