Total Produce buys exotic fresh-produce business

Total Produce has announced it is to buy the assets and trade of exotic fresh-produce business Utopia UK Limited.

Based in Spalding in the UK, Utopia has a range of some 60 exotic products from almost 40 countries worldwide and has had sales in excess of £25m.

The newly acquired business will be named Total Exotics, Total Produce said.

According to Total Produce, the new acquisition will allow it to increase its business and complement its existing activities in exotic fresh-produce area.
