Irish food wholesaler Musgrave, which also has operations in the UK and Spain, has won the John Sainsbury Award for Learning and Development at the prestigious IGD Food Industry Awards in London.
The John Sainsbury Award recognises companies who have made a real commitment to people development within their organisations and is awarded for an initiative which has achieved demonstrable business results, people development, sustained learning and on-going performance improvement.
The Greencore Group and Nestle UK were also in the running for the award.
“This award is a great achievement for all involved and demonstrates Musgrave’s commitment to people and to developing talent in the business,” said Chris Martin (pictured), Group CEO, Musgrave Group.
“Even in challenging times, developing our people remains an important part of the Musgrave experience for employees. This award from IGD demonstrates that commitment and recognises the demonstrable business results achieved.”
