Bentley Systems to create 150 new jobs in Dublin

18.11.2009
One of the world’s largest privately owned software companies, Bentley Systems, revealed this morning that it is to create 150 new jobs at an international Shared Services, Sales and Marketing Centre in Dublin’s city centre.

The investment, supported by IDA Ireland, was announced by the CEO of Bentley Systems, Greg Bentley (pictured), in Dublin this morning.

Bentley is recruiting multilingual finance and administrative personnel, sales and marketing professionals, technical support engineers and product release engineers with software industry experience.

“Bentley is the leading global supplier of software to the architecture, engineering, construction and geospatial sector and is a significant addition to Ireland’s information and communications technology (ICT) portfolio of investors,” said Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan TD.

“It is testament to the strength of the ICT sector in Ireland that Bentley chose Dublin as the location for this investment, and the government looks forward to assisting Bentley in the development of its Irish operations into the future,” she added.

Ireland’s talent pool
The new offices will be located on Harcourt Street. Bentley’s software is widely used by architects, engineers, constructors and owner-operators globally, as well as the next generation of infrastructure professionals now attending Ireland’s institutions of higher learning.

“Our decision to locate Bentley offices in Dublin was based on Ireland’s highly talented pool of multilingual professionals encompassing all of the key skill sets that we require for our international operations,” explained Bentley’s chief financial officer David Hollister.

“Moreover, Bentley is an innovative company, and the culture of innovation that exists in Ireland assured us that we would benefit greatly by locating offices here.

“Bentley is committed to delivering outstanding service to our users and having an Irish-based centre will not only help us achieve that goal, but also improve efficiencies within our finance, sales and marketing, and technical support operations.

“Without question, our offices in Dublin will be of strategic importance in helping Bentley fulfil its mission of sustaining infrastructure within the global context,” Hollister added.
