Return2Sender has launched a free mobile advertising and SMS campaign to support and raise awareness of the Irish Youth Foundation’s annual Denim Day, which is being held this Friday (25 September).
A denim-themed, interactive SMS and mobile advertising campaign, powered by Return2Sender, is now live with mobile providers Vodafone, O2 and 3. Mobile banners on the portals allow consumers to click through to a Denim Day WAP site where they can personalise their phone in ‘denim’, view information on the charity and donate. They can also enter into the Denim Day draw.
“We are delighted to be associated with Denim Day and the Irish Youth Foundation this year,” said Marguerite Cotter, Return2Sender marketing manager. “Return2Sender research last year revealed a huge appetite among consumers in Ireland for mobile marketing. The mobile ad campaign is a great way to engage people in Denim Day. Our research also suggests that 70pc of people have responded to a mobile advertising campaign which demonstrates how effective it can be in encouraging a call to action.”
Sabina Cotter, Irish Youth Foundation said: “This is a first for Denim Day. We love the mobile ad campaign which is sure to draw attention and support fundraising. Our mission is to provide opportunities for children and young people who are facing adverse and extreme conditions to experience success in their lives. Return2Sender are providing a new way to help us achieve our goals.”
In 2008, Denim Day raised over €40,000 which was distributed among a number of youth focused projects in Ireland.
