Sky announces latest update to Sky+ search functionality
Sky+ has announced the latest update to the Sky+HD box, which is being rolled out to customers over the coming months, will let customers search by title, actor, event, channel, sport or any key word to find anything from drama or comedy to the next Uefa Champions League game.
The updated search functionality uses technology that collates results based on real-time searches across the nation. It means customers can expect the most recent and on-trend suggestions at the top of their searches.
The search functionality is already available on the Sky+ app.
“With our enhanced search we are making it even easier to find shows and movies you love, as well as discovering exciting new titles in an intuitive and faster way,” said Mark Anderson, Sky Ireland’s director of sales and marketing.
“We know that Sky+ is used by customers thousands of times a day to record anything and everything. With hundreds of TV channels, a growing collection of TV box sets and thousands of movies to rent from Sky Store, we know it can sometimes be hard to find exactly what you’re looking for. Our new search means you can find just what you want even if you only know the actor’s name.”
To get ready for the software update and enhanced search, Sky customers just need to connect their Sky+HD box to their home broadband.
