Cork Airport launches new advertising campaign

Cork Airport has announced a new advertising campaign to promote direct routes from Cork for 2013.

According to those behind it, the ‘Better Still’ campaign aims to cement Cork Airport’s status as the No 1 airport in the south of Ireland.

Niall MacCarthy, airport director, Cork Airport, said: “This is an exciting new advertising campaign showcasing all the reasons why it’s so easy and convenient to fly direct from Cork Airport. This campaign will naturally resonate with those living in Cork city and county but this campaign is also designed to reach our customer base throughout Munster and further afield”.

The ‘Better Still’ campaign is inspired by the famous ‘Cork Pride’ and looks to remind Corkonians and potential passengers from surrounding counties just how easy and convenient flying from Cork Airport really is.

The campaign will be featured on outdoor and radio mediums, which will be seen, heard and experienced across Munster and also in south Leinster.

The outdoor campaign will appear at approximately 100 carefully selected sites, in both large and small billboard format. These print executions were shot by photographer, Liam Murphy while the radio spots feature the voice of Pauline McGlynn,

Creative agency Cawley NeaTBWA worked on the project from concept stage through to the finished campaign. Orla Byrne and Sam Moorhead were the creative team working on the campaign – led by creative director, Ciaran Bonass.

“Cork Airport is vital to the business, community and cultural life of the south of Ireland. The region has every right to be proud of it and we wanted to reflect that pride in this campaign”, said Deirdre Waldron, managing director, Cawley NeaTBWA.
