TAM Ireland appoints Jill McGrath as chief executive

Television Audience Measurement (TAM) Ireland has appointed Jill McGrath as chief executive with immediate effect.

TAM said McGrath's appointment follows the planned retirement of Aidan Dunne, who has led the organisation since its formation in 2007.

In her new role, McGrath will be responsible for managing Ireland’s largest and most sophisticated media research contract, which measures the number of people watching channels, programmes and advertisements at any given time.

She joins TAM Ireland from MaybeFriends.com, the company she established at FM104, which was subsequently taken over by Denis O’Brien’s SAONGroup.com.

She previously held senior sales and marketing roles with the Irish Independent and FM104. She has also worked as a media buyer for both Bell Advertising and O’Connor O’Sullivan.

McGrath is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
