io offers free marketing advice at Digital Cafe

io Advertising will be offering free digital marketing advice to SMEs, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit organisations in a pop-up shop, called the Digital Café, in the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre on 15 April.

Planning and strategy, social media, mobile marketing, creative advertising online, use of video and video channels, using viral or spreadable concepts, electronic customer relationship management, ambient marketing, search and pay-per-click are just some of the areas that will be up for discussion on the day.

Interested parties can turn up on spec or pre-register online for an appointment.

In addition to io’s expertise, representatives from Electric Media, Eircom Mobile, Enterprise Ireland, the Sunday Business Post and Return2Sender, amongst others, will be on hand to offer insights and advice on mobile marketing, entrepreneurship and traditional media.

“The growth in new media means there are amazing online business opportunities but there are also potential pitfalls,” said Doug Baxter, CEO of io. “The aim of the Digital Café is to provide the vision to make these new channels effective and profitable. We’re inviting people to come and talk to us about the issues facing their business.”

Tim Hurles, creative director at io, added that most people recognise the power of online marketing, but are unsure how to build profile and profitability in the digital sphere. “The Digital Café isn’t a theoretical talking shop,” he said. “We’ll address real problems that any SMEs bring to us. Want to find out how you can use Foursquare or Twitter to promote your business? You’ve come to the right place.”
