Inside This Issue

  • Leader of the tribe?

For many, Seth Godin is a leader among marketers. In his latest book, Tribes, however, he puts forward the idea that we must all be leaders. He explains his thinking behind this concept to Marketing Age.

  • Tough talk on home truths

With the recession unlikely to end any time soon, Alan Dukes believes companies must decide very clearly which part of the market they occupy and whether they need to modify that position or their marketing message.

  • Energising the blogosphere

Bord Gáis recently pulled off one of the most effective go-to-market launches ever seen in Ireland, and engaging with the blogging community was an important element of its strategy, despite the advice of its PR and advertising people.

  • Getting down to business

A new survey on the reading, viewing and listening preferences of Ireland's business audience has some interesting conclusions for advertisers and media.

  • The Midas Touch

Barry’s Tea is about as traditional as it gets for many Irish people, but the brand has recently been adopting a more youthful and vibrant spin as it seeks to engage with a younger audience.
