Former finance director at Anglo arrested
Willie McAteer, former finance director at Anglo Irish Bank, has been arrested this morning in relation to “alleged financial irregularities at a financial institution”.
The Gardai said a man in his sixties, who they did not name, was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation by the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation and the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement.
The man is being held at Irishtown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
