Online entrepreneur joins Paddy Power board

Online entrepreneur William Reeve is joining the board of Paddy Power as a non-executive director.
Reeve is the founder and former managing director of online DVD rental service LOVEFiLM International.
Prior to LOVEFiLM, he co-founded Fletcher Research, which became the UK's largest Internet research firm and was subsequently acquired by the Nasdaq-listed company, Forrester Research.
Reeve is currently executive chairman of TrueKnowledge.com, a next-generation internet search business, and a venture partner with DFJ Esprit, the European arm of the world's largest technology venture-capital network.
He is also an investor in and non-executive director of a number of high-growth internet companies.
“William's understanding of the online market place and his track record of delivering consumer concepts via the Internet will be invaluable to Paddy Power as it continues to grow its online businesses,” said Nigel Northridge, Chairman of Paddy Power.
Paddy Power yesterday reported a 32pc growth in revenue in its online operations during the first five months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
