Matchbook.com has engaged Xanadu to deliver a comprehensive re-architecture of the global sports trading platform to provide an even faster and more efficient trading exchange for users.

“Matchbook.com provides a market-leading sports trading experience for our users,” said Roibeard Long, spokesperson at Matchbook.com.

“We want to future proof the trading platform so that as activity on the site scales due to the exchange’s popularity Matchbook.com can continue to provide a resilient and reliable exchange that has the capacity to transact thousands of bets every second, processing massive amounts of data effectively for our sports traders.”

Matchbook.com currently processes 20 million real-time transactions per day, and handled over €7bn worth of betting volume in 2014.

Xanadu has been working with Matchbook.com for a number of years to deliver the site’s industry leading technology experience and service.

“Xanadu already has a deep understanding of the betting exchange market with a number of clients in this area,” said Marvin Sanderson, CTO at Xanadu.

“This type of project is ideal for our team. We know that the faster the exchange, the more bets that can be processed. With greater volumes of data being processed more efficiently, the trading platform increases its liquidity. Xanadu will deliver a highly effective re-architecture for Matchbook.com to ensure peak performance and the fastest betting exchange platform for this market leading client.”
