Greencore changing share currency denomination
Greencore said today that it intends to change the denomination of its shares from euro to sterling at the end of this week.
The company said the move, which is subject to approval at the company’s AGM this Thursday, will see the denomination of its ordinary shares of €0.01 changed to stg£0.01 at close of business on 10 February 2012. For share dealing purposes the effective date of the change in share denomination is 13 February 2012.
On 6 December last, Greencore changed its reporting currency to sterling. It also announced that dividends will be stated in sterling in the future.
Greencore shares on the London Stock Exchange have been trading in sterling pence rather than euro since 20 January, when the company cancelled its listing on the Irish Stock Exchange.
The company is currently seeking to be included on the FTSE UK Index Series.
