DCC completes Swea acquisition

DCC has completed the acquisition of Swedish heating oils and transport fuels distributor Swea Energi, the company announced today.
In December, the company said it had agreed to by Swea from Lennart and Viviann Hansson for an initial €22.7m, subject to competition approval from the European Commission.
DCC chief executive Tommy Breen said the acquisition was a significant expansion of the company’s oil distribution business in Scandinavia and built on its purchase of Shell’s oil distribution business in Denmark in 2009.
